CRIT Esports Malaysia recently launched their first-ever celebrity PUBG Mobile esports team, CRIT MVP. Announced yesterday in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, this new initiative attempts to bridge the gap between entertainment and gaming in Malaysia by bringing together local gaming influencers and their fans.

Collaborating together with mega-brands such as TrueMoney, OGAWA, and ZTE Malaysia with Nubia, the launch was attended by honourable guests such as YB Tuan Adam Adli, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports as well as Mr KM Rajendran, Vice President (Development), Paralympic Council of Malaysia.

The celebrity teams will be comprised of local influencers such as Muna Shahirah, Kuza, Cikgu Misai, Jajazuber, Yepz, and Roxxy.

CRIT MVP was established to form an immersive and captivating environment that combines the most appealing elements of esports, pop culture, and marketing. Through integrating gaming enthusiasts with their beloved celebrities, CRIT Esports Malaysia aims to facilitate unparalleled fan engagement, cultivating a strong sense of community and enthusiasm.

This initiative offers an exceptional opportunity for gaming and non-gaming entities to connect with a rapidly expanding audience of gamers.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Tuan Adam Adli explained that gaming has opened up many opportunities in the local community.

“As a billion-dollar growing industry, gaming opens up countless job opportunities, helps develop skills, fosters social collaboration and drives innovation,” said the deputy minister.

“We are even sending our cyber athletes to compete for gold medals in esports on the world stage, and not to mention the massive esports competitions hosted here in Malaysia like the ESL One Dota Championship in 2022.”

CRIT Esports will also be kicking off the upcoming ACS Edu Tour in July together with partners ZTE aimed to take the world of esports to colleges and universities in Malaysia.
