Jenga is well-known for its simple-yet-challenging mechanic of pulling out blocks and setting them on top without toppling the tower. The game was created by Leslie Scott and first introduced in 1983. Its name is derived from the Swahili word "kujenga," which means "to build."

IGN Southeast Asia stumbled upon an irresistible deal on Amazon Singapore if you’re planning to bring the golden days of tabletop gaming back into your living space.

For those who don’t know what Jenga is, here’s a primer: The game consists of a set of 54 wooden blocks arranged in a tower formation. Initially, the blocks form a solid rectangular tower with three blocks placed side by side to create each layer. The layers are then stacked on top of each other at right angles to create a sturdy tower structure.

The objective of Jenga is straightforward: players take turns removing one block at a time from the tower and carefully place it on top to create a new layer. As the game progresses, the tower becomes increasingly unstable, and players need to exercise a steady hand and strategic thinking to prevent it from toppling over. The suspense builds with each move, and the tension rises as the tower sways and wobbles.

You can imagine how intense the game goes as time passes thanks to the evergrowing threat of a collapsing tower of bricks. The suspense and the intensity are some of the reasons why Jenga remains a relevant tabletop game even today.
