The Unity engine is the most widely used third-party game development software worldwide, and we at IGN Southeast Asia are proud to partner up with Unity to introduce "Made With Unity Spotlight". The objective of this new feature column is simple, which is to showcase outstanding Made With Unity games, explore hidden gems, as well as behind the scene stories featuring some of the best developers and artists in the gaming world.

If you’re like me, there is nothing you would hate more than cockroaches. Those pesky critters crawl all over your food, your floor and even you with no remorse or fear. To make things worse, they are hard to kill, they seem to never die. It gets more terrifying when they suddenly fly straight at your face!

Are you too scared to touch those gross creatures? Disgusted by the idea of feeling their smooth wings and their creepy, skinny legs against your skin but still want to get your revenge against those cockroaches? Kakaroach is the perfect game for you. The game is very simple. Simply start the game and you make sure none of the cockroaches even make it to the pile of food at the bottom of your screen. If even one cockroach makes its way to the food, it is game over for you.

The game continuously grows harder as your progress. When you first start the game, you will notice only one character, Norman, who is a cockroach, on the screen. Around him are 4 other silhouettes of other roaches that we would have to unlock in the game.

The characters are fairly easy to unlock. As you hit certain scores, a new charoachter is revealed (see what I did there). You start off with Norman, a mediocre cockroach with mediocre speed and only needed one squish to get rid of.

After that you are introduced to speedster, a very small and fast cockroach. Next, Bouncer, your big and strong cockroach with two lives. After that Lunatik, whose speed is unknown but has insane movement and will annoy you to squish as it moves in random directions on your screen. And lastly is Zumbi, which you can tell from his name, a zombie cockroach. He will come alive after you’ve squished him which can give you a very bad time. On the plus side, he is very slow, so he isn’t too hard to kill again. You can find the cockroaches’ full profiles on the main menu and what makes these characters even more quirky is that they all have different back stories!

The game has no end game, you simply defend your food against hordes and hordes of cockroaches until one of them manages to sneak past you. It is a simple tapping game, perfect for killing time on the train, while waiting for your food to arrive at the restaurant or even on a bathroom break!

Test your skills of cockroach squashing speed and be rewarded with your name on the leaderboards on the main menu. If that isn’t your thing, the game has a list of achievements you can try to reach as you play the game.

Kakaroach may sound simple but it is very addictive and fun to play. I still felt a pang of grossness when you hear the pests critter over your screen, which makes it all the more satisfying to murder them. You can find the game on the Google Play Store for free with a strong 5.0 star rating! While you’re here, check out our Made with Unity channel, where we bring you everything made with Unity!
