The Unity engine is the most widely used third-party game development software worldwide, and we at IGN Southeast Asia are proud to partner up with Unity to introduce "Made With Unity Spotlight". The objective of this new feature column is simple, which is to showcase outstanding Made With Unity games, explore hidden gems, as well as behind the scene stories featuring some of the best developers and artists in the gaming world.

Gnomes are falling from the sky and trying to steal from you! It’s an official declaration of war. Time to gear up and get shooting, while making sure to defend yourself at the same time because some of these gnomes might actually fight back.

Made by Hobbi Games, an indie developer based in the Philippines, Gnome More War is a visually attractive action shooter and castle defense game. Inspired by the classic NES game, Pooyan, but instead of having to protect your babies against wolves, here you’re trying to fight off greedy gnomes that will do whatever it takes to get to the good stuff in your barn. The concept of the game is similar enough to make you feel nostalgic for the good ‘ol days, but it’s likely the amazing graphics that will draw you in first and make you stick around for more.

The goal of the game is to repel waves of relentless gnomes that are parachuting off the cliff. It’s your job to shoot them down before they land, and luckily you have a wide range of power-ups and potential upgrades to help you in your battles.

The game controls are very simple. You move your cart by swiping up and down and touch to shoot or activate power-ups. Different types of gnomes provide you with different types of challenges, ensuring that you’ll always need to stay on your toes to keep up with the attacks.

For each round you win, you also get points that you can later use to unlock exciting new locations, or to improve your offenses and defenses. Be warned though, if you lose in one of the waves, you also lose all of the points you’ve accumulated in that round and have to restart from the first wave.

The game hasn’t been fully released yet, but it’s already shown a lot of potential. We’re eager to see the game’s full features, but for now you can download the beta version of the game from the official Play Store. Make sure to also check out their website or Facebook page for news and updates. Finally, for more Unity content, be sure to visit our Made with Unity channel.
