World Cyber Games 2023 to Include VALORANT, Mobile Legends

Korean esports company Bigpicture Interactive Co. has announced plans to hold the prestigious World Cyber Games (WCG) 2022-23 tournament.

Unveiled during an online live showcase recently, next year’s WCG will feature a completely new appearance that is free of time and space constraints. The last time WCG was held was in 2020.

WCG 2022-23 will include a variety of content geared toward gamers all around the world.

The WCG Platform, launched on December 12, will include the WCG Tournament, a tournament open to everyone regardless of skill and background. It will include titles such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Clash Royale, Hearthstone, and VALORANT.

The new WCG Challenge, meanwhile, features missions and quests where gamers can compete for records with their gameplay data. WCG LAND, on the other hand, allows participants to draw pixel art and compete for ranking, with tickets collected through in-platform activities.

The WCG Rivals, launching on December 16, will feature matchups between various nations, teams, and influencers. WCG Rivals will be held on a regular basis and the inaugural match on December 16 will kick off with a clash between Korea and Japan. The series, dubbed WCG Rivals #1, will include influencers and professional teams from Korea and Japan, with all matches aired live on platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and AfreecaTV.

The Grand Finals event, which will conclude WCG 2022-23, will take place in July 2023. The WCG 2022-23 Grand Finals will be held offline and will deliver diverse entertainment by combining both old and entirely new WCG aspects.
